We advise, campaign and care to improve lives of everyone with epilepsy.

Story

A group of us ran the Great Manchester 10K Run on May 10th to raise awareness of epilepsy in the community and to raise money on behalf of Epilepsy Action.

We did this in memory of our beautiful daughter Carla Rankin who died last August whilst having a seizure. She was 27 years old and even though we would have done anything to take her condition away from her, she never let it spoil her life or prevent her from doing what she wanted to do.

Carla was an active member of Epilepsy Action and she would like the fact that her  death might raise money for a charity for which she had a lot of time. We have set up a Sunflower Tribute for Carla through Epilepsy Action so please take a look whenever you have a moment at carla.rankin.muchloved.com

If you feel like donating to this worthy cause we will be eternally grateful. All donations will go direct to Epilepsy Action. Simply press the red DONATE button and follow the instructions.

Thank you so much to everyone who participated; The Runners, Walkers, Ramblers, Crawlers and Spectators who all helped make this a spectacular weekend. Take a look at the gallery below and see if we have captured your best side!

(Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs.
