Dear all,

Our precious daughter Izzy was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia at 18 months old.  Izzy received treatment which gave her over 90% chance of survival.  Unfortunately after 16 months Izzy relapsed.  She required more treatment along with a bone marrow transplant.  Seven months after her transplant Izzy ended up in PICU with a rare post transplant complication.  After 5 weeks on maximum life support Isabella Camilla Darmoo (Izzy) passed away on August 7th 2015.

We always knew that we wanted to give back to the place that cared for Izzy from the beginning and until the end. the place where Izzy spent most of her life.  The nurses and doctors are absolute angels.  We will never forget what they have done for us and how much they really tried to save Izzy.  

We are fundraising for research into a new treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL), which harnesses the power of the immune system to seek out and destroy new cancer cells. The new technique could have fewer and much less severe side effects than chemotherapy and radiotherapy and the team hope that as well as treating the cancer, it could stop it from coming back. This research project will test the safety and effectiveness of this new technique in a clinical trial at GOSH. If successful, this work could bring about a new era of cancer treatments to help bring forward the day when ALL is beaten once and for all.

Potentially if this was around Izzy may of still been here.  Lets help stop other families from experiencing the tragedy of losing a child.
