WWT is working to save some of the world’s most threatened wildlife in Madagascar whilst helping give local communities a better future.

We've used our conservation expertise to rescue the world's rarest duck from extinction and are helping communities break a cycle of poverty that has left the wetlands they rely on for their livelihoods badly depleted. 

I am fundraising for the next phase of this work to secure wildlife's long term future. Specialists at WWT will work with teachers to show a new generation why and how to look after the amazing wetlands in their care.

We’ve already identified six schools. We now need to train local teachers and equip them with everything they need to inspire children to care about conservation; by inspiring children, we'll reach their parents too, which will help influence people to manage resources sustainably.

My challenge is to climb Island Peak, a mountain of over 6000m in Nepal. I would be very grateful for your support. Thank you.
