Event: Virgin Active London Triathlon 2012, on 27 September 2017
In memory of Jimmy Higham

Story

In typically J-McK fashion i have left this a little late but in just under 2 weeks I will be taking part in the Virgin Active London Triathlon in order to raise money for the Jimmy Higham Bursary at Wellington College. I will be swimming 1.5km, cycling 40km and finishing it all off with a 10km run.

I am not going to be giving the Brown-Lee brothers a run for their money in terms of my completion time but it is the perfect opportunity for me to raise money in memory of someone most dear and missed daily.

Jimmy was a friend from university who sadly lost his battle with cancer aged only 26. He was a vivacious northerner with a love of sports and a (very!) cheeky personality. He would probably laugh out loud at the thought of me embarking on this challenge and tell me that i should have started training ages ago (which is certainly true). So please help me make what is going to be a real test worthwhile by donating towards this cause.
