Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  My dear friend Elaine died suddenly this March from a massive bleed to the brain, leaving her 8 year old Daughter, 5 year old Son, Husband, Mum, Dad, Family and Friends devastated.

Elaine did the Thames Path last year and persuaded me to do it with her this year. However in her memory a group of her friends, called 'Elaine's Angels', have formed to walk as a team and to raise money for various charities.

I will be raising money for Cancer Research as both my own and Elaine's family have suffered the devastating effect the disease has on our loved ones.  My own Dad was fighting Lung Cancer this year and I am heart broken to write that he lost his battle this June, he was so brave and strong, but it is a tireless and exhausting disease, so cruel. Elaine's Father-in-Law lost his battle to Cancer last year. Maybe like us your family and friends have suffered too.  Please help me to raise a huge amount for a charity that is striving to get to grips with this horrendous disease and help me honour my dear friends wish and make my incredible & sorely missed Dad proud.

Thank you with all my heart, Jo,x
