Story

There are 2 things that effect every person, the death of a loved one, and anxiety with depression.

I have experienced both and have decided to get off my arse and do something to help!

In April I am running 26.5 miles to rase much needed funds for Katharine house hospice, this is a place that's run pretty much just from donations and gives incredible end of life care to anyone with a life limiting illness, cancer of cause being a main one. Each patient gets their own huge room with a sofa bed so family can stay with them. It's free for anyone who needs it and is so vital to support these places and keep them open as you never know if your family member will need to use the services.

Also anxiety and depression is a real thing and a massive, massive problem in so many lives . It seems such a taboo thing for people to talk about like they will be judged if they speak out about it. I myself have struggled for 4 years with anxiety and at it's worst it stopped me in my tracks for months on end. It's something I am slowly recovering from only now and I know it may never go away but one thing that has helped me so much is running and exercise. Running London marathon is a huge stepping stone in my life,  proving that you can get out of a rut. Whilst also doing something positive and helping other people in a position so much worse than your own.

Also I hope anyone with a mental illness such as anxiety and depression can see what I'm doing will feel hope, that they can speak out, to know they can do the same and there is a way to help yourself.
