Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On July 13th I am setting off to catch the overnight ferry from Portsmouth to Caen taking part in a 380 mile cycle ride to Paris and back, returning to Hayling Island on July19th. I'm taking part in this event, (organised by hayling-cycle-ride.org.uk), to raise awareness and money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, but more than that in memory of my beautiful niece Natasha who's life was cut short, taken by this debilitating disease at the tender age of 6yrs. In the mid 1960's children born with the disease were lucky to live beyond 5yrs. Through research and effective treatment around half of children born with cystic fibrosis now are expected to live past 40yrs. I know and appreciate in the present climate times are probably hard but anything you could donate to the Trust to help with their fantastic work would be greatly received.
