We will be running the Bath half marathon on March 2nd 2014 to raise money for a great cause; Cystic Fibrosis Comfort Fund.

We have chosen Cystic Fibrosis Comfort Fund as it was the preferred charity of Hayley Dowdell. Hayley was 27 when she lost her battle with Cystic Fibrosis in November 2011. Throughout her adult life she played a big part in North Somerset in bringing about awareness of the illness. She took part in many fundraising activities including completing the Bristol 10K in 1h 47mins with only a 40% lung capacity, writing and illustrating a book to help young children understand CF and petitioning for and winning beds and equipment for ward 54 at the Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI) Hospital.

CFCF is a small Charity local to the Bristol area helping children and young adults with Cystic Fibrosis in their daily lives. It has provided support such as medical equipment, the establishment of community support staff, start up grants for young adults setting up home, driving lessons and gym membership.
