Story
I love fashion. My mum, Mary, loved fashion. Together we went shopping, we talked style, we noted seasonal trends, we fell about laughing in mirrored changing rooms often dealing with a zip issue. Fashion was one of the many things that tied us together.
Now there is no 'we'. Cancer took my mum on the 24th October 2014, after the bravest of battles. 'We' has become 'me' and so I have decided to celebrate my mum's life through the fashion lens, in a way I know she would have thoroughly enjoyed.
Starting on the 1st January 2015 and for every day of this year, I will wear an outfit, comprising of my own Cancer Research UK pieces or loaned items from the amazing treasure trove at my local Cancer Research Harpenden store (where Mum volunteered for over 13 years) and post the daily picture via twitter/facebook/Instagram. There will be no escaping me. Oh, and did I mention that I shall refrain from buying any 'new' clothes for a whole year?
Come with me on a journey that will hopefully show you how to wear and love pre-loved clothes just as much as I love wearing them.If you like my daily posts, I've set up this JustGiving page with the aim to raise valuable funds, with all the proceeds going directly to Cancer Research UK.
Please share this page with your friends.
Thank you
Caroline
