Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be running the BUPA 10k on Monday 27th May 2013 in memory of my wonderful grandad William (Bill) Hemmings who sadly passed away on the 20th February 2013.
He had been suffering from dementia and became ill with an infection he was unable to recover from. The Royal United Hospital in Bath were outstanding in their care for him and gave him the respect and dignity that he so deserved.
I am fundraising for The Research Institute for the Care of Older People (RICE).
RICE has a centre based in the grounds of the Royal United Hospital in Bath. They provide services and support locally for people with Alzheimer's disease and other memory problems. RICE also has a research programme which is intended to advance the knowledge and treatment of the more serious conditions affecting older people, in particular Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia and to improve their quality of life.
This will be the furthest I have run so please support me and donate whatever you are able to this fantastic charity. If you are a UK taxpayer don’t forget to reclaim Gift Aid is on your donation.
