Thanks guys! Fabulous! X

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So many people have lost or suffered through breast cancer. I watched my mother in law fight and lose the fight many years ago, a strong and determined woman taken by this cruel disease, it was tragic to see and left massive ripples of torment long after for those close to her.

Years on I started my Midwifery training along with some amazing women who have remained the closest of friends; one of those women was Michelle, she was the most beautiful woman both inside and out, she had a smile that shone and lit you up inside! Funny, brave, steadfast and strong.... She had to be, bringing up her two children Connor and Jade single handedly throughout her training, just with her mum for help. Until the day that all her dreams came true..... She met and fell madly in love with her true love, Leigh Whyte. They were soon to be married and had a wonderful baby boy Joe. She had her family, her husband and her dream house an amazing career bringing other womens babies into the world and a wonderful future to look forward to, we were all so delighted for her!!

Then it happened, Michelles world came crashing down around her feet. October 2010 Michelle was diagnosed with breast cancer. Most of us would of fallen apart, but not Michelle, with her steadfast determination she started her fight, sure in her mind that she could beat this. She went through intensive chemo, single mastectomy and radiotherapy remaining positive, brave and strong... Just incredible we were all astounded by her!

Michelle was so glad and relieved when all this treatment was over, breathed a sigh of relief and got on with living her life and enjoying her family! The family had a joyous holiday and the thought of a promising future could once again be wished for.

However this was unfortunately to be short lived, devastating news came in October 2011 Michelle was diagnosed with sencondaries. She and Leigh were stunned and I will never forget when she told me that she new she wouldnt win this fight.....

Michelles bright, shining light went out on December 7th 2011, she passed away at home surrounded by those people that loved her and that she in turn loved the most. Michelle leaves her husband Leigh, Connor 15yrs, Jade 14yrs and Joe just 3yrs..... Along with her mum and dad other family members and her friends.

We will always miss our beautiful Michelle, but she will never be forgotten as she touched the hearts of so many people. This walk we do to honor her memory and to help raise awareness and money for other women who find themselves in this awful place. It could be any one of us, cancer is out there and we need to do what we can to beat it, one more life taken, is one too many....
