So, Im doing it again 50k, will I ever learn? 

Saturday, June 4th I will be walking through the Brecon Beacons, up Pen Y Fan and back down ........!

This year I am walking for a charity that have helped our family on neumerous occasions. They are a great charity that supported us through the utter mindfield that is special educational needs. They supported us with Max's schooling, form filling, appeals, reports, independant assesments .... the list is endless. Finding the right school for children with autism is tricky, there is rarely provision suitable. When you have to begin looking further afield the battle begins, and it is sadly a battle to get what is needed. Without SOS Max wouldnt have had the provision he has had to date. 

SOS!SEN is a national charity aiming to empower parents and carers of children with SEN to tackle successfully themselves the difficulties they face when battling for their children’s rights.

We concentrate on helping people to find their way through the legal and bureaucratic maze that is so daunting to so many.

To empower parents and carers we provide a free and friendly service including:

a telephone Helpline 5 days per week during term time
monthly drop in advice centres in some areas during term time
information sheets on many topics
We also offer small ‘hands-on’ one-day Workshops to help parents prepare appeals to the SEN Tribunal. These can be supplemented with 1:1 sessions. Under very exceptional circumstances we may take over a case and act as a representative.

Please if you can I would be so greatful for support, this trek will take me some time, last year it was around 12hrs (im not fast!!) i said goodbyeto 2 toenails but I climbed a mountain by myself ! 

This year I have enlised a couple of unsuspecting buddies, we have been out on a few other charity night walks together. We will make it a fun day and I will catch up with some great friends I met last year, there is a real community spitir in these kind of events. Thats what makes me go back for more!!!!
