Story

Martin was born in Cheltenham on June 26, 1973.  Son of Mike and Stef, Martin was an elder brother to Zoë, and later became a big brother to Khaya.

After living in Ghana for the first five years of his life, Martin settled in Aberdeen and went to school at Culter primary, then Cults Academy.  Having completed a degree in Biology at the University of Aberdeen, Martin then turned his hand to a range of jobs, most notably as a biomedical scientist at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.  During this time he also completed a postgraduate diploma in biomedical science at the University of Ulster, Coleraine.

Intelligent and inquisitive by nature, Martin gained an immense amount of knowledge and enjoyment from everything that he did.  His love of science fiction writing, classic films, and his natural brilliance with computers, are memorable passions of his.

To his family and friends Martin will be remembered for his intelligence, his sharp sense of humour, and most of all for his gentle, caring nature.

We miss him, and will always carry him in our hearts.

Cyrenians is a charity that helped Martin at an important stage in his life.  They gave him practical help, friendship and support.  We are very grateful for their support, and proud of all that Martin went on to achieve.
