*** 2015 MERMAID REGATTA FRIDAY 19TH JUNE ***

Our 3rd Regatta took place on 26th June and was a fantastic success raising £4800 for the Angus Rowland ForgetMeNot Fund@Leukemia and Lymphoma Research and the Ellen Macarthur Cancer Trust.

We started the regatta with  a Midsummer BBQ at Seaview Yacht Club on theWednesday 25 June. The next day the sailors took to the water with easterly winds generating some chop on the water, making conditions a little uncomfortable and led to the boats shipping some water. However this did not deter the sailors who enjoyed the exhilarating weather.

Team Uruguayan Nibblers, sponsored by Close Leasing and captained by Seth Clasby, emerged victorious at the end of a full day of racing. The day finished with a silent auction which had a number of fantastic prizes donated by The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, Bob De’Ath and Janette Rowland
