Story

Thank you for visiting my page!

I have decided to take part in the Santa Run event which is taking place   on Sunday 6th December. The fun run is set to bring a flash of red and Christmas cheer to Victoria Park London, as Santa's from up and down the country tackle 5km and 10 km courses raining money for charities.

I have never done any marathons or runs in my entire life, apart from catching the bus. I don't even like running...feeling much more comfortable in Yogic poses at the moment! Hmm, don't think I am off to a good start here.

However, when I received an invitation to take part in this challenge, it took about 9 seconds for me to make up my mind. As you can see it looks absolutely crazy..lots of Santa's running in one place. So, I decided that it is right up my street due to its madness :-).  I have a bit of experience of being Santa Claus having performed the role three years in a row for my daughter and her friends. Therefore, I should feel at home in the costume, even if I struggle with the running part. I also feel a personal connection with the cause as HealthProm supports disadvantaged children mainly in Eastern Europe and that is where I was born.

So... need to get my fitness levels up for 6th December. Not much time, so I'd better get along to Pinner Memorial Park for some practice. I hope no one recognises me when I do the dress rehearsal!
