Story
In 2010, a group of parents-to-be met at an antenatal class in Bristol. Giddy with the joint excitement of being parents for the first time, we all got on really well. So well in fact, we have continued to meet regularly ever since.
One such occasion was in December 2013. Emily, Oliver, Christian, Ceri and Enid ran the Santas on the Run race in Bristol. It was silly. Very silly. It was also a great laugh. Emily coaxed Oliver along the whole way with tickles and jokes and we all managed to run the whole 2k (Enid and Oliver were only just 3 at the time). Her seemingly never ending good humour and energy shone out that day.
The profound sadness we all feel following Emily's recent death has led us to want to take part in an event, all together, in her memory. Since Emily had such a good sense of fun, it feels fitting that we all make fools of ourselves in her honour. Dressed up, in red suits and beards.
You are greatly missed Emily, and are always in our thoughts.
