Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 20 April last year, my Uncle John died from cancer, aged 49 years old. In his memory, and to celebrate his 70th birthday party, my great uncle Finbar is walking the full Camino de Santiago. I will be joining him for the last leg, a distance of approximately 100km. We will be raising money for Cancer Focus Northern Ireland, a charity which does incredible work both supporting those diagnosed with cancer, and carrying out vital research to try to prevent/cure the disease.
Uncle John was a much-loved teacher, an avid gaelic football fan, a brilliant artist, but most of all a fantastic husband (to Clionagh - "Boilers"), father (to Conall, Tiarnan and Cara - his "wee bird"), son, brother, uncle, godfather, and so many other things to so many other people.
I won't try to put into words quite how devastating his loss has been; suffice to say we miss him and think about him every day. If you can spare any amount, great or small, for this fantastic cause, it will be much appreciated.
