Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.
My brother Richard was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer in February this year. This was a devastating shock to us all. As hard as he fought, it was a battle he could never win. Tragically he passed away on the 9th April leaving behind his loving family and friends, his wife and two little boys.
During these difficult weeks, the LOROS nurses were an invaluable help, not only in practical terms but also emotional. They helped explain and make sense of what was happening and were always at the end of the phone when needed. Richard has been gone four months now and still LOROS are there to help.
Richard was incedibly brave, inspirational and a positive influence on us all.
I'll leave you with these words written by Richard just weeks before he died in a message to one of his best friends.
"There would be no point living your life like a soldier and then when it comes to it curling up in a ball quivering, feeling how unfair it all is. I've had a phenomenal life. Loved every second. There's no reason to stop. But if you can help me make the last few moments magical then it's all worthwhile. Accept it my friend. I love you dearly. Let's make life happen".
