Story

A big challenge in my 50th year to do some crazy things and raise money for this amazing charity. I am paying all the costs myself and anything over and above this will go to the charity.........so get sponsoring!!! Going with a fabulous group of gals if not a bit MAD! The Fabulous Five are setting off to cycle through Burma, from the foothills of the Shan Plateau to the Central Plains, a distance of some 476km in 6 days. We aim to raise over £16,000 for the Genesis Research Trust, based in Imperial College, Hammersmith. Specialist scientists and clinicians who are researching the causes and cures for conditions that affect the health of women and babies.

Their work aims to improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a range of devastating conditions which cause genetic diseases, miscarriage, premature birth, brain damage and cancer. The fundamental aim is to improve women's health & to ensure that more women have a normal pregnancy with a healthy baby. This charity lies at the heart of one of the most profound of all human choices: to have a happy and healthy family.

Now, need to go and do some training!!!! XXXX
