Story
Rob Pascoe always lived life to the full, he tragically lost his life whilst walking in the Lake District in 2013.
I had the great pleasure of working with Rob at RAF Benson, sharing cycle rides and also competing together in the odd Triathlon event. I am proud to have called him a friend. His thirst for adventure, constant enthusiasm and superb banter is what's inspiring me to take on this challenge.
So on Saturday 27th September 2014 I will be cycling 170 undulating miles around the Chilterns with the aim to complete this in around 12 hours.
In 2012 Rob and I completed this ride over two days as part of a group. Rob’s constant banter and hilarious stories certainly kept us all going throughout the two days and remembering these stories will help keep me motivated throughout the challenge.
Whilst many of you know I’m a keen cyclist, this is well out of my comfort zone so I welcome your donations and any support you could provide on the day.
Having spoken with Rob’s family I am raising money for the Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team who were despatched to help rescue Rob after his accident. North West Air Ambulance were also dispatched and assisted Patterdale at the time.
