We care for street children and orphans to give them hope and a future

Story

Millions of people including a high percentage of children live in absolute poverty in the Nairobi slums. People face a daily struggle for survival with limited or no food, running sewage in the streets, unsafe drinking water and limited access to healthcare. Life is unsafe- many children witness horrific crime on a daily basis.

Many children are orphans due to HIV and AIDS with only a small percentage having support in the slums.Ultmately they may be destined to for the streets and a life of crime, fear and sex work!

I am a dental surgeon and I shall be travelling with a group of doctors and healthcare workers with the charity 'Wings-of-Mercy' to help provide support to the local doctor who is carrying out the dentistry in Kibera. I will be taking as many instruments as I can to help him provide basic dental care.
