The L'Arche Community in Preston is running an appeal to raise £80,000 to fund the development of new accommodation for six local people with disabilities who want to have their own home. They are turning the old presbytery on Garstang Road into flats for people with disabilities and assistants who will support them. This will not only bring life and future security to a much loved building but will put people with disabilities at the heart of the parish and local neighbourhood.
