Story

Dear All,

This Sunday I am running in the 10k Run to the Beat race in London. As a tribute to the loss of a very good friend, I would like to dedicate this run to Lee Yeomans. Im my opinion, there is no better way of paying tribute to this wonderful man than through exercising to music! Lee was mad about his physical fitness and his Djing, so this one is for you champ.

This charitable request comes very soon after a page which has already been set up in Lee's honour. So many of you have already contributed to Scott Marshall's and the Yeomans Family just giving page. If you have already donated, please do not feel that you need to do so again! Your contribution to a good cause for Lee is already so greatly appreciated and humbling thus far.

I have decided on continuity and have chosen to raise money for the same charity as Scott and the Yeomans family and established this page in aid of ‘Diversity Role Models.’

They are a truly fantastic organisation. Allow me to describe the great work they do:

Diversity Role Models is an initiative aimed at helping schools eradicate homophobic bullying and provide a safe environment for their LGBT students and families.

We are a charity that puts role models in front of young people to talk about acceptance and respect for diversity. These role models may be LGBT themselves, or they may be straight allies, who often send an even more powerful message.

More information can be found at http://www.diversityrolemodels.org

Thank-you all again! And if anyone wants to come down and support me - be more than happy to have the support and toast to Lee afterwards.

Raya

Diversity Role Models works to combat homophobic & transphobic bullying in schools. Many children seen as different due to their sexual orientation - actual or guessed - are bullied and so underachieve, many self-harm, all too many even commit suicide - we are working to change children's attitudes.
