Story
Over the next 18 weeks I will begin an intensive training plan covering over 460 miles and culminating in a marathon with my good friend James Darler. James will be joining me off the back of an Iron Man and will also be doing a minimum of 4 marathons!
The marathon is on September 27th.
Anyone who knows me, knows how much of a challenge this will be given that I am out of shape and have a mild Dominos Pizza addiction (It isn't mild).
I will be tracking every mile covered during training using the NIKE+ app and my goal is to raise £460 for Victoria's Promise. A pound for every mile covered. You can help in the following ways;
- Join me on a run during training (I'll need the help)
- Join me on the marathon itself
- Donate some money to a wonderful cause (No matter how small)
- Meet me at the end of the marathon to carry me home and feed me beer!
WHY AM I DOING THIS?
For those of you who do not know, a close friend of mine passed on to a better place at the beginning of the year and one of her last wishes was that she would help make a real difference in the World. It's safe to say she is doing that.
