Story
Rupert Dickinson, the brother of our friend Felix, died from vasculitis in the autumn of last year having battled with the disease for four years. Due to the rarity of the disease he had been ill for a few years before he was correctly diagnosed. During this time the disease systematically attacked every organ in his body.
On the 1st April we will be running the Reading Half Marathon in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital. The money we raise will help fund the work of Dr Paul Brogan who runs their research into vasculitis and the care of young patients with this rare autoimmune disease. Early diagnosis and treatment can make a big difference, which is why the work that Great Ormond Street do is so important.
Running thirteen miles is a big undertaking for us, particularly Kam who had only ever run as much as two before and has been training hard for weeks. So please support us by digging deep and donating to this great cause.
