Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Please see Keira's story at: www.justgiving.com/keiralee

Did you know that our children are now more likely to be diagnosed with a brain tumour than bacterial meningitis? And did you know that up to the age of 40 brain tumours kill more people than ANY other form of cancer?

HeadSmart, run by The Brain Tumour Charity, is the national awareness campaign bringing these and other shocking facts to the attention of parents and healthcare professionals: www.headsmart.org.uk

Out of the shock and despair of losing Keira, has emerged an incredible urge to help spread the word and to continue to reduce the average time to diagnosis - vital to improving the outlook of this terrible disease.

Robbie (Keira's Uncle) and I (Keira's Daddy) will be taking part in the British 10k London Run 2014 on 13th July to raise desperately needed funds to promote the HeadSmart campaign across the UK.

Anything that you can do to help would be amazing, even if it's just texting KEIR49 £5 to 70070 - probably about the cost of your lunch today!

I know we can make an impact. Even if it's just one child diagnosed earlier and surviving as a result, something positive can come from our personal tragedy. Thank you so much for your support.
