Story
Ruth Parker
Our Mum finally lost her three year battle against breast cancer in late 2008. During these difficult years she regularly attended The Lilac Centre at Whiston Hospital for her various treatments.
There was a lot of blood, sweat and tears shed in the centre over the years and Mum became fond of the staff, in particular their warmth, compassion and understanding.
Towards the end of her life the centre ran a competition to name their new newsletter, Mum entered and won the competition with the new newsletter name becoming 'Lilac Leaves'.
Given all of the time and attention the excellent staff within the centre provided for Mum we would like to give a little back in raising money and the profile of the centre to ensure that it continues to provide for future loved ones and they continue to receive an excellent level of care during their hours of need.
All those that knew mum will know what a loving, kind and selfless person she was. In memory of our Mum on Saturday 19th May 2012 we will be climbing Snowdon with family and friends (who we thank in advance for making the effort to join us in this cause) to celebrate her life and to raise funds that will be put to great use at centre.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Many Thanks
Gareth & Danny Parker
