Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Earlier this year I registered to run a 10K with friends to raise money for a local hospice and keep fit.  Those who know me will know that running has never been (and probably never will be) my forte and over the last few months I have forced myself out to "train" using my newly downloaded couch to 10K app!

Over this time a very brave and inspirational friend, Shel Frost, became a resident at the hospice to help control pain she was experiencing from terminal cervical cancer.  I know from updates from Karen (Shel's mum) that the care given to Shel and her family made a huge difference to her quality of life, both physically and mentally, in the final months of her life.

Shel sadly passed away earlier this month and now this 10K means more to me than I ever expected it to.  I will run in memory of a beautiful friend who never gave up on life, battled a terrible disease and helped raise awareness for other young woman along the way.

Any money you can donate would be much appreciated both to help me over the finish line and support the work of a much needed hospice.

Thank you.
