Story

I'm going to attempt to run a 5K race in an attempt to raise some money for this phenomenal charity. The reason I'm doing this comes from the passing away of my beautiful, passionate cousin Penny. Penny was, and always will be, a massive inspiration to me. Growing up I always wanted to have just a fraction of the drive and unparalleled wit she had!

Anyone who knows me will know how hilarious this entire running idea is. Penny would have laughed at the idea of me even getting off my bum to go and collect the post! Therefore, I'm going to really try my hardest, and push myself out of my comfort zone, to raise money for a cause that is held dear by all my family and myself.

At the moment I can run for 30 seconds then I need a break... so I've got a heck of a lot of work to do. I really hope anyone reading can get behind me and support this amazing cause with any donations they are willing to give.

Penny passed away at just 31. She was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour in 2007, and passed away in 2014. Yet in all this time she showed more courage than anyone I know, and throughout this time she never let a day go to waste. She managed to raise an astonishing £400,000 pounds for this charity. Penny always made an effort to message me, and keep up with me when I moved up to Scotland for uni. She always made me laugh and I know that my feeble attempt at running would have made her laugh too.

I really appreciate any support for this cause, so that this charity can help improve the outcomes for all sufferers of this horrendous disease.
