Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Steve and I have decided to run this year's Brighton Marathon, individually to the best of our abilities, on Sunday 17th April 2016 in memory of our beautiful little girl, Grace Olivia Harper.
Steve ran the London Marathon in 2014 and although he said never again, he signed up for Brighton this year! I was not intending to run the Marathon (or the Brighton half, which I ended up doing at the end of February) but have been joining Steve on his training runs, albeit at a much slower pace and was offered a late place which I decided to take, to join Steve in raising money for a fantastic cause which is very close to our hearts in memory of our daughter.
Grace was born prematurely at St.Thomas' on 20th February 2012 weighing 2lb 11oz with a heart condition, which was picked up at her 20 week scan.
Grace did really well and grew to over 7lb but unfortunately, after two heart operations, her condition worsened and she sadly died on 28th May 2012 aged 14 weeks.
The nurses, doctors, cardiologists, consultants e.t.c. at St.Thomas' hospital were fantastic. We would therefore like donations to be made in memory of Grace, to help other premature and cardiac babies. Any donation, no matter how small, will help motivate us to cross that finish line, 26.2 miles after the start!
