Story

As the biggest DofE provider in the UK, The Scout Association are taking on the DofE Diamond Challenge.

In August 2016, a team of staff and volunteers from Scouts Scotland will be attempting the 'Three Centres Challenge'.  Our three National Activity Centres - Fordell Firs, Lochgoilhead and Meggernie - offer 60 unique activities and we will be attempting to complete all of them, yes all 60 activities within 24 hours!

We will be mountain biking, hillwalking, climbing, abseiling, gorge walking, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, rafting, high ropes, teambuilding, caving, zip lining, backwoods cooking, hammocking, bivouacking, star gazing, pioneering, orienteering, pond dipping, tyrolean crossing, traversing, slipping, sliding, archery, sumo wrestling, king swinging, karting, soft play and 30 others!!

The team will be working together, facing personal fears and taking on the challenge to support the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.  All money raised will be reinvested into helping Scouts in Scotland from disadvantaged backgrounds to access the DofE programme.
