I am trying to raise money to build a sensory room at the Crew Club in Whitehawk as we work with lots of children and young people with special needs. The sensory room will provide a space where young people and children can explore their senses and skills. It can include different features ranging from soft play areas, padded floors and walls and interactive equipment which makes dramatic changes to the sensory room using sounds, lighting and fragrances. 

What will we achieve: 

A multisensory room will engage young people with special needs such as Autism and mild or complex learning difficulites by allowing them to learn through play. 

This can help children and younge people with

SENSORY SKILLS, HAND-EYE CO-ORDINATION AND CAUSE AND EFFECT RESPONSE 

THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL SKILLS

PROVIDES FUN AND ENJOYMENT 

IMPROVES LEVELS OF CONCENTRATION, ALERTNESS, CALMNESS AND GENERAL AWARNESS
