'The Extra Mile' In Jim's Footsteps
Fundraising for Lighthouse

Thanks for visiting this page in memory of Jim (Dad, Jimbo, Smithee) Bell. We are part of 'The Extra Mile' In Jim's Footsteps team.

The challenge is to walk, cycle, swim or run 6000 miles which is (the distance between Jim's birthplace in Arequipa, Peru and death in Inishowen, Ireland), commencing on 11th July 2014 which would have been Jim's 60th birthday. The team is fundraising for 'Lighthouse' suicide prevention charity. http://www.lighthousecharity.com
Family and friends feel free to join the 'The Extra Mile' In Jim's Footsteps team by starting a page if you want to be involved in any way starting July 11th 2014. Also any donations to the team are gratefully received.
Even if this is not possible just do something in your own time, way and place that reminds you of Jim and try to help others along the way (as this is what always Jim did). Beware this could mean an adventure!!! Such as travelling the world (to places such as Moldova, Arequipa, Sydney, Omaha, Dunedin, Inishowen, Scotland, & Finland), meeting new people, showing kindness to family, friends and strangers, enjoying delicious wine and food, helping Romanian orphans, teaching, watching Man United, driving on some of the scariest roads in the world. (Sorry Sharon I told him that I didn't think Skippers Canyon was the right road and maybe we should turn back :) (driving too fast according to Pauline & Claire, not fast enough according to Katie) all whilst showing compassion and kindness to others as Jim always did.
