Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
This is a joint page for both Stephen Fairhurst and Dave Bottomley who are partaking in a 165 mile bike ride from BAE Systems Warton to RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire.
Stephens late father in law, Ronald Wilson, spent his last few weeks in the Woodlands Hospice in Liverpool. The care they provided at such a difficult time for Ron and his family was absolutely outstanding.
There are a couple of events already organised in memory of Ron but some late slots were available on this ride and we couldn't let the opportunity slip to raise even more. As Dave is a friend/colleague of Steve he has also decided to concentrate his efforts into raising money for the Woodlands Hospice.
The ride is approximately 165 miles, starting off at Warton on 13th September, riding over 3 days to RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire. The first day will be a 55 mile ride, ending in Manchester. The second day will see us heading over the Peak District and down towards Chesterfield for a total of 47 miles . The third day will be a 63 mile ride straight into RAF Coningsby.
Please dig deep to help us reach our goal. Any amount you can spare is very much appreciated.
