I have decided to take on the momentus challenge of running the 2014 London Marathon to raise funds for St.Thomas' hospital, where our daughter Grace was so well looked after.

Through donations and events, so far we have raised a fantastic amount of over £11k + gift aid, which has been used to buy a heated cot for the Neonatal Unit at St.Thomas's in Grace's memory. The heated cot cost £15k and I have therefore signed up for the London Marathon to raise further funds for a great cause, so that the cot is paid for in it's entirety. Whilst Grace was in St.Thomas's hospital, Sarah and I took some time out from her bedside and went to cheer on some of the runners in the 2012 London Marathon at Westminster Bridge. This gave me the idea that with some dedication and training I could run for Grace and raise funds to give something back to the hospital that gave so much to us. After Grace's death, I became more determined to run in the 2014 London Marathon and dedicate it to Grace's memory.
