Story

Yes I know, Steve Walker run 13.1 miles for charity?! Never known to break sweat except at last orders. Many family members are running in support of the Conquest Hospital Intensive Care Unit in Hastings who looked after my Mum last year. Sadly she didn't make it but many of you will remember her long struggle, and the help and hope they gave her and us. So I've been shamed into running as well and have chosen a cause dear to her heart.

The first half of the course retraces the Norman Bastard's route towards Battle and involves a climb of nearly 800'. So look again at that leering, fat pansy in the photo: a life dedicated to hedonism and hair-products. You're better than him! Wipe the sneer from his face with a significant contribution to either or both of our two causes (Save the Children on this page or Conquest ITU on the Yellow Heaven page via the in Memory of Sue Walker link below).

Imagine the sodden, quivering wreck I'll become as I plod that ascent, and then the hip-mangling, knee-crunching return to sea-level. Those pictures alone, (and photos will be posted for you successful sponsors) are surely worth a significant chunk of your hard-earned wedge. Ah delicious schadenfreude! Savour the emotion and dig deep NOW.
