In memory of Stuart Tyrer
We provide mountain rescue around Snowdon to help save lives in the mountains

Story

On 10th April 2012 my brother Stuart set out to walk the Snowdon horseshoe and never returned. Mountain Rescue were called and several mountain rescue teams in the area searched the mountain all night, along with search and rescue dogs and helicopters from RAF Valley. They searched until 4am, then started again at 8am. Stu's body was found at 10:20am very close to the top of the mountain and was recovered by helicopter.

The Llanberis team covers Snowdon and surrounding areas and deals with 150-200 incidents per year. The organisation is run entirely by volunteers.

I am grateful for their dedication in searching for my brother. I want to support them in Stu's memory so they can continue their good work helping people in need on Snowdon.
