Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On the 15th of May Team Caskie will run, jump, skip and hop our way through 5k of colour. The team is made up of nursery staff, school staff, plus some of our own children.

On the 24th of February this year the MacDougall family tragically and suddenly lost their wonderful wee Billy, just weeks after his fifth birthday. Billy was a pupil in our nursery, and we can genuinely say that no one was more full of beans and enthusiasm than our Billy! We feel his absence every day. Colour Me Rad is a happy, colourful and fun event, and by running it we hope to add to the amazing fundraising that Norman and Maria, Billy's parents, have already done.

Billy passed away in Sick Kids in Edinburgh. His family would like to raise money to allow the wonderful and dedicated staff there to continue the fantastic work they do. So, please, any donation, big or small, will be hugely appreciated.

About the charity

We believe that nothing should get in the way of being a child. We exist to transform the experiences of children and young people in hospital so they can be a child first and a patient second.
