Event: Run Balmoral 2016 in aid of GASTROCAN, from 23 April 2017 to 24 April 2017
In memory of Brian Scott
Our amazing team of 70 runners have taken part in Run Balmoral 2016 to raise funds for GASTROCAN, a local fund supporting research into causes of and treatments for gastro-oesphageal cancers.

Story

Our lovely dad died suddenly and unexpectedly just before Christmas. He had a rare and extremely aggressive form of oesophageal cancer of which there is very little knowledge and research. Our dad was a fit and healthy man who was active until the end; he was kind, caring and devoted to his family; it is painfully true when people say that cancer does not discriminate.

We are taking part in this run as part of Team Gastrocan. Gastrocan funds and supports research in to oesophageal and gastric cancers and we are keen to do our bit to help them raise as much money as possible so that hopefully one day, in the future, someone facing the same diagnosis as our dad is given a fighting chance.

If you are able, we would really appreciate your sponsorship. Whilst we have previously completed runs like this, we are both a little out of practice so rest assured it will be a challenge! Your support means a great deal to us.

Thank you,

Sarah and Kirsten xx
