Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 21st September, it will be two years since my lovely friend and running partner Matty left us.

Although always a smile for others, Matty had his own sadness that unfortunately got the better of him. So I will be running to remember him, as well as to hopefully raise funds for CALM (campaign against living miserably), an organisation who offer support to men when they feel like life is just a little too much.

Matty always encouraged me to 'make it to the next lamppost' when we ran... well Matty, on the 26th October, I'll be making it to the next lamppost for 10 miles, especially for you.

All your donations are much appreciated by myself, CALM and the families and friends of the men that access CALM and get the support they need to stay with us longer.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

CALM, the campaign against living miserably, offers men support and information when they’re down or in crisis at www.thecalmzone.net. We exist to prevent suicide, the single biggest killer of men aged under 45 in the UK. Latest figures show that 76% of all UK suicides were male.
