Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

My close friend Karen Frost lost her daughter Shel to cervical cancer last August aged 27 years. The Eve Appeal supported her after her diagnosis. Shel's story featured on ITV This Morning and her positivity and strength was awe-inspiring and her story so very sad. The fact that her cervical cancer could have been diagnosed sooner through a cervical smear and thereby resulted in treatment to ensure a much more positive outcome. You can watch the feature on ITV This Morning at http://www.itv.com/…/terminally-ill-with-cervical-cancer-sc…

Shel sadly passed away on Friday 8th August 2014 but will always be remembered by her family and friends. Shel was an inspiration to all who knew her and met her.

Here are just two of the reasons I'm raising money for Eve Appeal:

(a) Every day in the UK 53 women are diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer and 21 will die, The Eve Appeal are determined to change this

(b) The Eve Appeal are the only national gynaecological cancer research charity in the UK
