Story
My Amazing Wife Tracy sadly passed away on 30th December 2015 from Cancer, aged 38. Since being diagnosed in May 2013 Tracy had to undergo many treatments including 3 rounds of Radiotherapy in Oxford. During this battle I never heard her complain and she had a smile on her face every day always telling me she was going to beat it.
We had lots of support from family and friends and we could not have done it without them. During one of the 75 mile round trips (which she did over 60 times) the conversation came about "Why did we not have a radiotherapy unit in Swindon" which would at least make it easier for families dealing with this traumatic experience. So when Tracy saw the Brighter Futures GWH appeal she wanted to get involved, she would have loved to see this unit come to fruition and would have been so proud to have helped. Unfortunately she never got the chance to do this and so as a Family we felt she would have liked this to be her Charity going forward. This is the start of our journey helping her to achieve this.
I am honoured to have been able to call her my Wife for the last 12 years she was a truly wonderful person and amazing mother to our three children.
I thank you so much for taking the time to read about why we have chosen this charity and we thank you if you decide you would like to help.
