Bill had been suffering from dementia and became ill following several infections which he was unable to recover from.  Sadly our wonderful dad passed away on the 20th February 2013.

The Royal United Hospital in Bath were outstanding in their care for Bill and gave him the respect and dignity that he so deserved.

We have set up this JustGiving page in his memory and all donations will go to our chosen charity, The Research Institute for the Care of Older People (RICE).

RICE has a centre based in the grounds of the Royal United Hospital in Bath. They provide services and support locally for people with Alzheimer's disease and other memory problems. RICE also has a research programme which is intended to advance the knowledge and treatment of the more serious conditions affecting older people, in particular Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia and to improve their quality of life.
