Story
I've run my home-town half marathon every year since it started in 2011 but this is the first time I'll be doing it for a charity.
I found out about the work The Bridge Trust does at a recent charity quiz and it seemed ridiculous that I was going to the effort of a few months' training and then the race itself each year to no gain apart from another medal, a free cookie and to keep up my fitness levels.
The reason I've chosen to run for The Bridge Trust is because they need help, it's run by really decent people and I'm confident every bit of money raised will have a massive impact on their work.
In short: they help homeless people in the area I was brought up in who don't receive help from local authorities, guiding them into independent living. Your donation - however big or small - will help them continue that work and prevent people in serious hard times from falling back into homelessness.
I've put £100 down as the target but hopefully it can be surpassed. Please forward the page on to anyone you think might want to support the charity, even if they don't know me. It's obviously going to help them not me!
A bit of extra bumf on your donations....
