Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page.
15 members of the GF Smith team all of whom are inexperienced cyclists will be cycling through Belgium and Holland to raise funds to purchase specially adapted sporting equipment to enable disabled children the opportunity to take part in everyday activities and sports which we all take for granted.
Accompanying the team throughout our epic journey and actively taking part as much as she is able will be Kizzy Wade a very brave 11 Year old girl who suffers from the crippling and debilitating disease Cerebral Palsy.
Kizzy is permanently wheel chair bound but she has not let her disability diminish her spirit and through sport has been able to challenge herself raising funds to highlight the plight of wheelchair disability.
The GF Smith Team and Kizzy will be leaving Hull via the North Sea Ferries to cycle from Zeebrugge in Belgium to Rotterdam in Holland over the May-Day Bank Holiday weekend to raise funds to buy specialist sporting equipment to enable Kizzy and other children like her to lead active lives through sport.
Specifically for Kizzy we would like to raise the funds necessary to purchase specially adapted equipment to enable her to fulfill her passions of ski sledging and playing football for a local disabled team, every pound donated will be spent on the purchase of specialist sporting equipment to enable Kizzy and other disabled children the opportunity to undertake these everyday tasks which we all take for granted but without your help would otherwise be unachievable.
Donating through Just Giving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Just Giving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity Make a Difference Together – A helping hand for children with disabilities.
Please dig deep and donate what you can, let’s all help to make a difference to the quality of life of these young people who suffer from these cruel and debilitating diseases.
Thank you for your support.
