In June of this year we will be travelling to Ghana with a group of fifteen volunteers, made up of mainly doctors and nurses. We will be working with a charity called International Needs, a worldwide development agency that operates in over forty developing countries around the globe.

 

Over ten days we will travel to six different areas within the central and eastern regions, setting up triage clinics and treating anyone at all who is in need of medical assistance. We estimate that we will meet over 2000 patients during our trip. We hope to be able to save lives by providing basic medication and treatment and educating families about hygiene and disease prevention.

 

We are asking friends and family if they would be willing to contribute towards the cost of our trip. All money donated will go towards funding the trip and any additional donations received above and beyond this will be used at the discretion of the Trustees of INUK where most needed within International Needs’ projects in Ghana.
