Story
I will be attempting a 6 days trek (4 days to go up, 2 days to go down) to reach the summit of mount Kilimanjaro at the end of September. To be honest, I'm not a fan of trekking and this will actually be my first one (although arguably not my wisest move). I wanted to do something different, get outside my comfort zone, train for something over the summer and ideally give a meaningful sense to it all. It should be challenging enough for a first experience, with 7h walking (1,000m elevation) each day, rain, cold, altitude sickness, lack of oxygen and... no shower!
We've all been to less developed countries on holidays or for work with our expensive gears & electronics, while some of the local population doesn't have access to clean water, education or healthcare...
With your help, I'd like to take this opportunity to give a little bit back to the country by raising money for Tanzania Development Trust.
Over the past 40 years TDT has changed the lives of thousand of people in Tanzania’s poorest communities by helping provide clean water, agricultural support, education, solar power, healthcare, and new and improved livelihoods.
Please support me in this challenge by donating to Tanzania Development Trust!
Every pound counts!
Asante*, merci, thank you for your generosity!
