Gateway (Intensive Support Service) is a local service that provides support to 14 young adults with severe autism and/or complex learning disabilities on a 1-1 basis. The service aims to support and improve the quality of life by supporting the young adults to gain the skills and knowledge required to have a greater choice and control over their lives. Monies raised would be used in a way that would open up opportunities through purchasing specific equipment for each individual and also enable people to access community resources in an environment best suited to individual needs.
