We are two slightly mad, 60-something grans, Jill and Pat, who are fundraising for our local Deal based charity, the Martha Trust.

Taking part for the first time in their Rome or Bust Car Challenge, we will be heading from Deal to Rome over 3 days in September 2016 in a car that costs no more than £200!

If that's not enough of a challenge, neither of us have ever so much as changed a tyre and need the manual to open the bonnet, so a few car maintenance lessons from our local garage in Water Street beckon with a good dollop of faith and divine intervention thrown in for good measure! It is Rome after all...

Our target is a minimum of £1500 but with all you lovely friends and family we know we can do better than that!
