Story
Two sisters and a best friend from Hampshire are walking 50 miles from Guildford to Hamble in 24 hours in memory of their Uncle Jack and to raise money & awareness for HASAG who supported them through difficult times.
Jack kept fit and healthy until Jan 2015, when his illness started. Jack remained positive throughout and was determined to keep fighting, which showed the kind of person he was. Jack was a very much loved Uncle who had a zest for life. After 8 months of deterioration Jack sadly passed away in Aug 2015 due to an Asbestos related illness.
Jack had spoken about his greatest achievement in life, which was doing this same walk in 1969.
On the 9th June 2016, Jack would have celebrated his 80th Birthday. We have decided to walk on this date to raise money for charity in honour of his memory.
Please donate to support us and HASAG to help raise awareness of this terrible illness and enable them to help families and individuals with their support network.
